Shana Gallagher

Shana is a Mighty Earth organizer in Dallas, Texas working to convince Tyson Foods to clean up its meat by building public support in an area where Tyson has numerous facilities. She graduated from Tufts University with a Biology and Environmental Studies double major. She was involved with “Tufts Climate Action” through college, eventually serving as its director, and a fellow with “Our Climate” to push for carbon pricing in Massachusetts. She has an active interest in oceans preservation, serving as a founding member and conference organizer for the World Cetacean Alliance, which works to protect whales, dolphins and porpoises. She has also worked both the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Ocean Conservancy on reef protection. She is a member of the Green Corps class of 2018.
