Megan Larkin

Megan Larkin is an Associate on the Environment Team where she works on business development and land use issues in relation to the climate and biodiversity crises. Some of the campaigns she has worked on include ensuring that U.S. biofuel policy is truly climate-friendly, that agribusiness in Latin America stops destroying native ecosystems, and that extractive companies don’t take advantage of the Trump administration’s rollbacks on U.S. public lands. As part of this work, Megan has organized standing-room only Capitol Hill briefings, handled presidential candidate outreach to Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, and others; and coordinated meetings with some of the biggest U.S. banks to discuss their policies funding extractive projects on previously protected public lands.

Prior to working at Mighty Earth, Megan served as a Campus Fellow with NextGen America. In this role she educated students about presidential candidates’ climate policies and facilitated voting commitments in the 2016 primaries, resulting in unprecedented student-voter turnout at Dartmouth.

Megan graduated from Dartmouth College in 2019 with a B.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies, where she advocated for climate justice, worked on Dartmouth’s fossil fuel divestment campaign, and emceed a record-setting New Hampshire climate rally.
