Julie Hudson

Vice President of Development



Julie Hudson, Vice President of Development, is in charge of fundraising at Mighty Earth. She has dedicated her career to addressing environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, habitat protection and problems within our food system.

Previously, as 350.org’s Director of Development, she helped grow their budget from just under $3 million to $18 million and grew the Development team to six people. Her fundraising experience also includes the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition and Center for Food Safety. She has also done policy work and grassroots organizing at the Sierra Club and The Wilderness Society.

Julie is a foodie who is passionate about local food and farming. She spent several years farming part time in northeastern Pennsylvania. Julie now resides in the beautiful hills of western Massachusetts with her partner, Eli, and she spends her time on DIY home renovations, cooking, gardening and making pottery. When possible, she enjoys traveling and hosting friends and family for parties and dinners.

She has an MA in Environmental Policy and a BA in Environmental Studies and Economics (dual major) from The George Washington University.
