Jackson Harris

Jackson is the Rapid Response Director at Mighty Earth, where he is responsible for tracking and reporting on deforestation in near real-time in Southeast Asia and West Africa. Jackson graduated from Dartmouth College in 2020 with a dual degree in Geography and Computer Science.

Prior to Mighty Earth, Jackson worked at the Spatiotemporal Innovation Center in collaboration with researchers at George Mason and Harvard University, using machine learning to predict the spread of COVID-19 based on environmental and social factors. Jackson has also worked as a web developer at the artistic portfolio startup ILWE.io and interned at 3Degrees Group, an organization committed to transitioning the energy grid towards renewables across the US.

Jackson spends as much of his free time as possible in either a wetsuit or drysuit, in the ocean or on a river.
