Sarah has dedicated her career to advancing sustainable agriculture for the protection of people and the planet. She has helped lead some of the pioneering tools for sustainable supply chains, co-leading the launch of Trase, managing Global Forest Watch Commodities (now GFW Pro) and establishing the first ever science-based targets for land use in collaboration with Mars Inc. She brings expertise in global commodity supply chains, with a decade of experience working on corporate sustainability, accountability mechanisms, and policy levers to address deforestation. She has worked closely with some of the world’s largest companies to address deforestation, including WalMart, Unilever, and Proctor and Gamble.

Sarah holds a PhD in Economic and Environmental Sociology from the University of Colorado-Boulder with an emphasis on sustainable agricultural supply chains. Her research focused on sustainability in U.S. cattle supply chains as a fellow of the USDA Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program.
